March 11th.of this year marked the 13th anniversary of the magnitude 9.1 earthquake and the devastating tsunami that followed, generating a catastrophe that left more than 22,000 dead and missing, thus triggering the Fukushima nuclear disaster, which reached the 7th level of severity according to the International Scale of Nuclear Accidents of the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency (NISA) and the worst since Chernobyl (Ukraine) in 1986.

The director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the Argentine Rafael Grossi, began a visit to Japan on Tuesday, March 12th. this year to closely follow the controversial discharge into the sea of contaminated and treated water from the Fukushima nuclear power plant, which began on May 23rd. , 2023. According to data from Tokyo Electric Power (TEPCO), more than 31,200 tons of treated contaminated water have been discharged into the sea since that date, emptying about 30 tanks at the site, which contains 1,073 tanks with a total capacity of 1.34 million tons of radioactive water to be treated and discharged into the sea over the next few decades. (the equivalent of 500 Olympic swimming pools).

To realize the alarming environmental emergency we are talking about, it is necessary to ask ourselves two questions: 1) how was it possible to accumulate this incredible amount of radioactive water?; 2) How dangerous is Fukushima’s radioactive water?. We will answer to both.

On March 12th., 2011, after the meltdown of reactors 1, 2 and 3, with the liquefaction of fuel rods containing uranium and recycled plutonium, to avoid further overheating of the highly radioactive liquefied fuel, and therefore potential explosions with the leakage of radioactive material, Tepco technicians began pumping sea water on the molten cores of the 3 reactors. In this way, the sea water was contaminated with radioactive material, and they continue to pump it to this day, because the cores of the three reactors are still melted.

According to National Geographic, after more than 12 years, the ongoing cooling process still produces more than 130 tons of contaminated water per day. Here is the answer to the first question. We must therefore add that the problem of the meltdown of the 3 reactors has not yet been solved , it is only being kept under control, at least for the time being, but at what price? The answer to the second question, asked just before, will eliminate all the unknowns and give rise to inquisitives that, in a few more years, could take away our sleep.

The radioactive water is sucked in by pumps and then filtered in a process called the ‘advanced liquid-processing system’ (‘Alps’) and then stored in tanks of one thousand cubic metres each. Since the day of the accident, twelve years ago, 1,073 units have been filled. Tepco knows perfectly well that it will soon no longer be used for the storage of these tanks, hence the decision to start pouring the treated radioactive water from last year. But let’s get to the point: how dangerous is this contaminated water?

The melted reactors at the Fukushima plant produce 64 radioactive elements, also known as radionuclides or radioisotopes. The most worrisome, according to The Conversation, are those that could pose a threat to human health: carbon-14, iodine-131, cesium-137, strontium-90, cobalt-60 and hydrogen-3, also known as tritium. Some of these radionuclides have a short half-life (i.e. decay time) and have already decayed in the 12 years since the disaster. But others take longer to decay; Carbon-14, for example, has a half-life of over 5,000 years! The same would be for carbon-14 in tanks, which according to Tepco «currently has a concentration of about 2 percent of the regulatory upper limit, which will be further reduced by dilution of sea water.» However, the researchers say there is little data available on the distribution, behaviour and potential effects of tritiated water and organically bound tritium, and therefore assessing the overall risks is almost impossible.

An article in the journal Environmental Science and Technology concludes that not enough is known about the long-term impacts of tritium (the main radionuclide present, with a half-life of 12.6 years) to determine whether the release of more than one million tons of water can be considered safe or not. However, the Japanese government’s decision to begin releasing the radioactive water stored inside, a decision approved by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), has generated a scientific and public debate, given its potential to cause environmental damage in the coming decades. As a result of new research in this regard, led by the University of Plymouth, assurances are being sought that regular monitoring will be carried out on different components of the region’s ecosystem to examine the possible impact that the release could have on the environment .

The new study includes a review of the existing literature on tritium’s behaviour in the environment and studies assessing its impact on individual species. This includes studies that have shown how tritium can be absorbed into sediments and soil, raising concerns about its possible transfer into the water cycle and food chain. There is also research showing that tritium can cause DNA damage to certain species of fish, which could affect their physical and reproductive fitness and, ultimately, the genetic diversity of a population. Further investigations, it is clear that radioactive isotopes in marine waters can be transported by currents, accumulate on phytoplankton and in the bodies of animals that feed on them and their predators, and bind to microplastics present in the sea. The main stream that runs along Japan is the Kuroshio, or «black current.» It is the second largest ocean current in the world, and travels clockwise from Japan to North America and then descends south along its shores.

Azby Brown, chief researcher at the environmental monitoring group Safecast, criticized the lack of transparency of the Japanese government and Tepco in the New York Times: «The Japanese government and Tepco made the decision to release the water after a process that was neither fully transparent nor adequately inclusive of the stakeholders, both in Japan and abroad. This sows the seeds for what could be decades of distrust and struggle. What’s even more troubling is that Japan is setting a precedent for other governments that may be even less transparent. This is dangerous, especially in Asia, where more than 140 nuclear reactors are already in operation and, thanks to the growth of China and India, dozens more are under construction, in the planning stages or have been proposed. If Japan, a globally respected cultural and economic force, can get away with dumping radioactive water, what can stop other countries?» asks Brown in his editorial.

«San Michele: what’s behind the mysterious straight line that also affects Turin? Turin has always been the magical city by excellence, but the San Michele line is something more. A mysterious straight line, in fact, unites 7 churches scattered throughout Europe.
From Ireland to Israel a perfect alchemy unites the basilicas named after the famous saint.
Within this mystery, there is an even more particular one: the three main monasteries, Mont Saint Michel in France, the sacred in Val di Susa and the sanctuary in the Gargano are placed exactly at the same distance from each other (1000 km), but it is not enough. The sacred line that unites these 7 points in Europe, is perfectly aligned on the day of the summer solstice. Legend may  show that it represents the blow of the sword that the Saint inflicted on the devil to send him back to the underworld. A way to remind the faithful of God’s laws, and the commitment of every Christian to continue on the right path.
Around the monasteries is born, however, a multitude of stories and legends, let’s see them together.

Skelling Micheal Monastery: here the archangel Michael would have appeared to St. Patrick to make sure that Ireland could free itself from wick.

-In England St. Michael would have spoken with a group of fishermen.

-In 709, in France, St. Michael appeared ordering to build a sanctuary in the rock.

-Sacra di San Michele, Val di Susa: erected for pilgrims who traveled the Via Francigena.

-In Puglia a sanctuary was erected for the 490th anniversary of the first appearance of the archangel Michael

-In Greece,  penultimate stage, there is one of the largest statues in the world dedicated to the Saint: 3 meters high!

-The last monastery is in Israel, in a place venerated since the twelfth century.

The Sacra di San Michele is therefore right at the center of this long mystery. The church erected at the gates of Turin is not without other peculiarities. Since March of this year it is a candidate to become a World Heritage Site, it is a nullius abbey, or outside the jurisdiction of the bishop, it inspired Umberto Eco in the drafting of the famous ‘The name of the rose’, and makes the beautiful valley at the gates of Turin unique and of an inimitable charm. The church of the municipality of Sant’Ambrogio can also be visited by tourists visiting these magnificent areas. Abbey, guesthouse, new monastery, new church and bell tower Alda were in fact built at different times.
On the bell ‘Alda tower, moreover, there is a beautiful and sad legend, famous among the inhabitants of the area, concerning a desirable girl from the Susa Valley.

«THE MYSTERIOUS PROPHECY OF THE ANGEL THAT INDICATES TURIN
There is an ancient and mysterious prophecy concerning an Angel who, among various European cities that he flies over, with his index indicates one in particular: Turin.

In an old restaurant in Chartres was found, on the cover of an ancient lunary, an engraving dating back to the late seventeenth century.
The engraving depicts an angel flying over the heart of Europe. In his hair he has a twinkling star. (-the star has 8 points- and Eugenio several times indicated this number with Justice, and that he reported to Ashtar Sheran. As well as portrayed in the attached photo of his portrait) With his wing he touches the cities of Amiens, Rouen, Paris and Chartres also lapping Lyon. His right hand points to Santiago de Compostela. His left hand, with his index finger pointed, points exactly to Turin.
The angel is accompanied by an enigmatic text in French which reads:

When from Turin
 the angel will call “the Thinker”
at Notre-Dam,e the chimeras will scream
and the angel of Chartres will wake up,
 who will break the clock
to signify that time is over.
The donkey will make the hurdy-gurdy sound.
In Amiens the head
 of the Baptist will shine and the angel will no longer weep
In Rouen
Richard’s heart will beat again
and a harmony of bells
will announce the Savior.

The prophecy seems to announce the end of the world that would start from a signal given in Turin.

The figure of the angel is difficult to interpret. As Renzo Rossotti states, in his book «Curiosità e misteri di Torino» (text from which this story is taken), the representation of the angel as found in the engraving on the moon, is probably hidden in some Turin church, in a painting or in a sculpture but still hidden. Le Penseur, the Thinker, to whom the text refers, is one of the most famous figures that adorn the spires of Notre-Dame in Paris.The chimeras will cry out and at the cathedral of Chartres the angel holding the clock (a solar dial) will break it.
The musician donkey, another figure linked to the church, will make you hear the sound of the hurdy-gurdy, a musical instrument of ancient origins whose strings are placed in vibration by the rubbing of the edge of a wheel operated by means of a crank. At that moment in Amiens the skull of John the Baptist will release light and the weeping angel, another very famous sculpture preserved in the temple, will stop doing so.
Under the vault of Rouen Cathedral, inside a stone case, the heart of Richard, King of England, beats again. London is seen very well in the engraving but is not touched by the angel. The bells will ring to announce to the world that the Savior is coming. This is an unusual prophecy. It is not clear exactly the meaning that binds Turin to the other cities depicted. Turin, however, seems to be a fundamental point since it is indicated directly by the angel’s index.
Someone interpreted the engraving as a kind of heavenly guide for pilgrims moving along the “Camino de Santiago de Compostela”. Suspended in heaven, the angel would have had the function of identifying the various stages of a spiritual journey.
However, this does not explain why Turin, far from the routes of the path that concern the cathedrals, is included in the map drawn by the angel. This consideration could corroborate an arcane and occult meaning unknown up to now.»

On August 27th., 2006 of this time, you crossed the threshold to enter Heaven once more, at the right hand of the Father in his Solar Rose Garden prepared for you, by the All-Creating Cosmic Intelligence.

What you have transmitted, Eugenio, is engraved with letters of fire, and these teachings have reached our spiritual family.

Our thoughts turn to You, Thank you, Spiritual Father of our spirits, Eugenio, for remaining here in this world, and for awakening us from the sleep of death and leading us with your cosmic revelations to Christ-Jesus, in order to be able to present ourselves worthy in front of God.

One of your disciples has recently returned close to you, doing what he had been entrusted with and taught with unexceptionable diligence, discipline and responsibility. Let us remember and make our own what he said in unsuspected times:

«We are conscious and we want to live as you taught us: The Gospel is not a teaching to resignation, but to struggle, to action. Particularly for the whole Solex Mal family, it is a difficult year without Filippo Bongiovanni physically present, although IF he is present with the subtlety of the language of heaven, the ethereal and perennial presence in every small and simple thing of our personal life and that of announcing and witnessing Eugenio Siragusa´s work.

It´s time to put things on the table, time where things are seen as they really are, where what we have really chosen, and what we have inside, is displayed.

Each one with his identity, his form, and in communion with the other, with the certainty of sharing the search for the same treasure, the unique, the real: TRUTH.

Matthew 13:31: «Another parable related to them, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is like the mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. 32 Truth is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is the greatest of vegetables and becomes a tree, and the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.»

Yes. Because with Filippo physically present, with his strength contrasting everything that is superfluous or involutive, things seemed easier. Because with his tutoring we seemed to have everything much more within reach of understanding to discern. But everything is fulfilled, and it is programmed for these times.

«It is a truth that has a certain forceful weight, I would say the greatest weight of all. As with Christmas, at Easter we do anything but not to live inside of us, all that now corresponds to us as humanity to live, as a law of cause and effect, for having crucified the truth more than 2 thousand years ago and continuing even worse every day.

And what is left for those who seek to evolve?  For those who want to seek the Truth within themselves, to follow universal values.  In this world of deception and spiritual misery, as Eugenio said.  How difficult, but simple if one is predisposed… Simple to find the answers, stripping yourself of everything that is not necessary!  Hard if two patterns are served at the same time, if we intend to follow the conditionings, the useless distractions … Simple, but not without pain. Knowing that no one is exempt from purifying tests.

Filippo in his life was the example for many of us even though he always made it clear that  he  was not the protagonist but Eugenio’s Witness, and so, with the humility of the greats, he left us explained in an experience lived on July 27^th.,  2015 in Turin  –  pilgrimaging to Monte Musine-,  how his life has been, and how he has managed to be in the world without being of the world:

Eugenio: Let’s say, few are those who have understood something. Not understanding means when we crawl into evil. When we create circumstances, by which it meanders negative vibrations among those who should be better than others. So they have not understood anything.
If we feed dystonia, hate, misunderstanding, lack of love grows. So, if we grow up in these feelings, it means that we have not understood anything. We must avoid this, we must not have mental reserves; when one must say something else, one must say, just as one feels, one must not have mental reserves;  then with fraternal charity, it can be discussion, comments, but without malice, without being angry; this is when I say: «You have not understood anything.»
If «They» have given us this great advice, they have led us down a bright street. And this is not enough for us?  Why  must we be taken by the forces of evil?
The tempter is always beside us; once you open a single window, he has overcome.
You never have to make him win, he does his job, he tells you:

«Do you want this treasure? You answer,
«My treasures are in heaven, the Lord sees and provides. «You ask and it will be given to you, you call, and it will be opened to you.» You must call, with heart and soul, and not with your mind.
Then you will get it!

«What is love»

I asked Christ, the Lord answered:

 Love is a great thing, a good above all good; the only one that lightens everything heavy and makes everything most unequal be carried with the same spirit. It supports its weight without feeling weight and makes every bitter thing soft and tasteful.

 The love of Jesus is noble, it pushes us to carry out great works and incites us to desire ever greater perfection.

 Love wants to be free, not bound to any worldly affection, so that its inner eye has no hindrance, nor temporal comforts envelop it, or succumb to discomfort.

 There is nothing sweeter than Love, nothing stronger, nothing more sublime, nothing vaster, nothing more playful, nothing more complete, nothing more good in Heaven and on Earth, because Love is born of God, nor can it rest in created things, but only in God.

 Love is willing, sincere, pious, pleasant, delicious, strong, patient, faithful, prudent, suffering, virile: he who loves never seeks himself. When one seeks oneself, one renounces Love. Love is cautious, humble, and upright; not weak and light, he does not address himself to vanities; He is sober, chaste, firm, calm and controlled in every way. Love is submissive and obedient to superiors, vile and despicable in its own eyes, devoted to God and grateful; He is always full of hope and trust in God, even if he does not feel it, because without pain one cannot live in Love. «What for are the graces I grant you?»

Tell me, tell me, what did I deny you when you asked for it?   Did I close the door when you knocked?

  What good are the graces I grant you if you are not able to use them to become as the Father wants you?

If you allow yourselves to be surrounded by the straw that overshadows you and makes you rebellious, the weak spirit and the rebellious flesh, how can I remain inert, passive?

Should I abandon you and beat you, to make you understand that you are My Truth, the Truth of the Father, His leaven, and salt?  in the world?

When, when  will you be convinced that  choice has fallen upon you, that this choice is the most coveted privilege a living spirit could wish for?

If  the Father  were to abandon you, I would fall into  the  thickest darkness of despair and  you would lose forever the immense joy of sitting at his   table  and looking at his divine face.   

Is there a greater happiness than this?  Tell me!  Tell me!

Can Father rejoice if you have not yet established peace, wisdom, and conscience in your hearts and spirits to be consciously free?  Tell me!  Tell me!

 From Heaven to Earth

   The Epiphany celebrates the event of God’s manifestation to the whole world.

The Gospel of Matthew invites us to meditate on this event by proposing the episode of the Kings; We don’t know much concretely about them, but we only know where they’re going; they go in search of the King of the Universe; they are a group of learned, rich and foreign men, who thirsty for infinity, travel day and night, through cities and deserts and after overcoming stormy difficulties, find the one they seek.

The history of the Kings is, therefore, the history of searching, the search for a truth, the only one that can give meaning to life and death; the search for a Good that can only satisfy the desire for happiness, which inside the man is even greater than man himself and the whole world, the search for a God who has become next and accessible.

Reflecting on the King´s knowledge, their search for God is courageous and tenacious, crowned with happy success and contrasts with the behavior of other men of their time and ours, who do not seek God, or seek Him badly and therefore do not find Him.

The Kings walking among men who do not dream of having someone to look for, appear as people moved by a wind of madness, crossing countries where people busy in the temporal affairs of each day are devoid of longings for a different and higher life, they are seen as strange and incomprehensible people.

Let´s think of those who neglect to seek God because they say they don’t feel the need; They  live in fortune, they  pay for earthly realities, without aspirations that go beyond the horizons of this world; it is true that their calm is often more ostentatious than really lived, and in moments of sincerity they recognize that no experience can give everyone the hope of joy, and one after another only increased the sense of  dissatisfaction and emptiness that are hidden in the heart.

But if they were really someone who, extinguished within themselves all restlessness of conscience, had attained a squalid and inert peace, then we should remember the saying of Christ.

«Woe to the satiated!» (Lk 6:25). Woe to those who have tried to convince themselves that they already have everything; woe to those who have suffocated in themselves the inherent longing for a truer and more lasting happiness!

There are others and not a few who not only show no interest in the search for God, but reject it as absurd.

Scientific explorations without barriers, increasingly developed and refined technical applications, the conception of unlimited and arrogant human autonomy, have invaded the space that the cultures of the past, more «backward», had left to God.

 There is no longer any place for Him in a world where science and social and political organization are considered able to illuminate every problem, to fulfill every request, to satisfy every need.

Today man even thinks that he must announce the «death of God» and therefore feel free to fill the universe with himself, alone; but his heart is perhaps less empty than before and his anxieties less stinging?!

The world that thought it was free from God’s presence and therefore more just and more human?!  Or is it rather a world where individual freedom is dying and violence is unstoppable?

If man learned to read correctly the signs of the times, he could become  disenchanted  with his illusion of absolute autonomy, he would recognize along with  his greatness and also his inadequacy; and the awareness of both his own greatness and his own inadequacy would become an incentive for him to  seek   the One of whom  he is a child, living image, without he cannot truly grow in freedom and peace.

In the episode narrated by the Gospel, the Kings are not the only ones seeking Jesus; However, they are the only ones who find Him.

Herod seeks him and does not find him; the chief priests and scribes of the people seek him and do not find him; not even the inhabitants of Jerusalem find him, although they were surprised and disturbed by the questions the Kings had addressed to them: «Where is the King of the Jews who was born? We have seen his star rise and we have come to adore him.» Mt 2:2)

 Even these fruitless pursuits have something to teach us.

 God does not allow Himself to be found by those who do not seek Him with a righteous and sincere heart !!!

Herod does not find him; He would like to find him, but to kill him, annihilate a rival power in the cradle, eliminate at the first appearance, a force capable of opposing his despotic selfishness and unmasking his fierce hypocrisy.

The child escapes from all those whose search, like that of Herod, is contaminated by secret fears:  fear that his greatness will force  him to recognize his own fragility and limitations, fear that his  disturbing love will ask him for a radical change of life; he wants to break the bonds loved; he will force them to renounce the bonds; he will force them to renounce the   selfish comforts and conceited ambitions; He fears that his plans will alter his own and ambitions.  pushing down unknown paths, which intimidate his pusillanimity.

The high priests and scribes of the people do not find him and even the experts in the Holy Scriptures know the precise passage that refers to the place of the Messiah’s birth.

Not even the inhabitants of Jerusalem find Him, even if they are a few kilometers away from Him; they are waiting for an Epiphany of power, a  manifestation of strength, a Messiah capable of overthrowing the political and social order that   oppresses the country; not a helpless little child in need of everything. Therefore, no star shines in their sky that can lead them to Bethlehem, for them enlightenment is the sign of salvation offered by God, it is illegible and unacceptable.»

Like those citizens of Jerusalem, they do not find God in the child of Bethlehem, those who expect to meet, not the living and true God, but the arbitrary and complacent image they make of him at will.      

Those who seek a God modeled by their tastes, those who seek a child of God to enlist under their social and political banners, can only end up far from the goal, like a walker walking the wrong path.      

The Kings, who «came to Bethlehem and entered a house, saw the child with Mary, his mother, and prostrated themselves and adored him and offered him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh as a gift.» (Mt 2:11) they are the image and hope of all the true seekers by whom God always allows himself to be found.

Who find God are all those who, like the Kings, have the courage to leave the country of dear company and quiet habits, to leave a lazy superficial life, without renewal, to obey the voice of conscience to follow an inner illumination; all those who, like the Kings, know how to look to the sky and open their hearts to a light and a force that can be found in the light and in a higher force, which are seen and given to those who ask for them with a sincere heart.

Faith is not the fruit of reasoning, even if reason can and must prove that belief is reasonable.

To recognize in the Child of Bethlehem the «giant of the two natures» as Saint Ambrose said  – human nature and divine nature – is not possible for any man, without grace.

 Only God can make us believers, but He does not make us believers without our collaboration. 

God is found by those who, like the Kings, for the sake of truth, are not afraid to challenge the oppression of the dominant mentality and are not intimidated by the mockery and oppression of those who live exclusively bent over the earth and cannot tolerate the work of those who, even from above,  inspire in the promotion of human values for the service of a pluralistic society, and is also found by many who are not clearly aware that they have found Him.

Man does not know everything about himself, neither all the good nor all the bad; sometimes under the affirmation of unbelief beats a heart open to faith; there are people that foreigners like the Kings, at the external orders of the «Promised People» cannot be counted sociologically among its members and, However,

their belonging is invisible to the eyes ofall and to their own eyes, but it is no less real, indeed, it is more real than that of many others who, not without levity, incoherence, and hypocrisy, have manufactured the certainty of being believers.

They find God through their own clear and firmly decision to serve the truth, wherever it appears; it doesn’t matter if for the moment they «ignore that the truth is Someone.»  Jn 14:6).

They find God through their firm resolve to never shirk their duty at all costs, no matter if they do not know that doing their duty is the true way to love the One who for them remains as an «unknown God.»

They find Him through their attitude of solidarity, justice, brotherhood with all and especially with those in need, even if they do not think that there is One who has identified with the humble and with the least.

They also find Him in the fact of their own tireless pursuit. One of these encouraging seekers of God writes:

  «I always look for him, I will look for him again for ten years, for twenty years, as long as I have to live. I’m afraid I’ll never find Him, but that doesn’t mean I can stop looking for Him! Perhaps God, if He exists, will please my effort.

St. Augustine said to them, «You wouldn’t look for Him if you hadn’t already found Him.»

Christ had to think of all  anonymous and unconscious believers when He said:

«Many will come from East and West and will sit at table with Abraham» (Mt 8:11) and «it will be a surprise and a discovery for themselves» Mt 25:40.

And so, all the lesson that comes to us from the episode of the Kings, can be summarized as follows: we must seek God to find him and after finding him we must seek him again, to find him more deeply.
